In particular, there a number of people who are interested in submitting a proposal based on institutions. However, in order to bring this on its way, we need to submit a letter of intent until March 15th, and this has to be done by some organisation that is an OMG member. If you know such an organisation that would be interested, please contact me. University of Edinburgh used to be a member of OMG but it costs $550/year and the source that paid for it disappeared so we didn't continue membership. I do have a possible source of funding for membership at the moment but it wouldn't make sense unless I could regard it as setup for a grant application. (I understand that becoming a member is very easy, if you have the money to pay the fee.) Moreover, SIMF is mostly an American initiative. So any funding within Europe has to be set up by ourselves.
