acquisition and retrieval, innovative query processing and question answering
over heterogeneous knowledge bases, novel evaluation paradigms, problem-solving

tables and other heterogeneous data such as images and videos, machine learning
and representation learning, information enrichment and visualization, as well
as researchers interested in cyber-infrastructures to foster the publication,
retrieval, reuse, and integration of data. </span></p>

specifically solicit papers on novel methodologies for evaluating
cross-disciplinary multi-modal knowledge capture systems and applications. In
most cases, knowledge is not captured as a means to an end but to, for
instance, enable better user interfaces, improve retrieval beyond simple
keyword search, and so forth. For K-CAP 2019, we focused on the creation,
enrichment, querying, and maintenance of knowledge graphs (not necessarily
limited to the Semantic Web technology stack) out of heterogeneous data
sources. </span></p>

International Conference on Knowledge Capture (K-CAP) provides a forum that
brings together members of diverse research communities who are interested in
efficiently capturing knowledge from a vast range of sources, including human
experts, and in creating representations that can be useful for building
knowledge-intensive services in a variety of fields, such as the semantic web,
knowledge management, e-business, natural language processing, intelligent
information integration, and so on.</span></p>

the Age of Big Web Data”. Besides a research and an application track, K-CAP
will host a number of workshops and tutorials on topics related to the theme of

workshops provide an informal setting where the participants have the
opportunity to discuss specific technical topics in an atmosphere that fosters
the active exchange of ideas. Our aim for the workshop program is to promote
and collect multidisciplinary research directions that contribute to knowledge
capture from a variety of sources. In the same vein, K-CAP tutorials enable
attendees to fully appreciate current issues, main schools of thought, and possible
application areas.</span></p>

We encourage the submission of workshops and tutorial proposals on all topics
that fall in the general scope of K-CAP 2019, from traditional knowledge

“Multi-modal Knowledge Capture in the Age of Big Web Data”. A

collaborative authoring tool, to provide an ACM LaTeX authoring template.</p>

     is a collaborative platform: Authors can easily invite colleagues to
     collaborate on their document.</li>

     can write using 'Rich Text mode' or regular 'Source Mode.' This is useful
     for cross-disciplinary collaboration in the cases where some authors
     prefer to write in LaTeX while others might prefer a word processing
     format.</li>

     platform automatically compiles the document while an author writes, so
     the author can see what the finished file will look like in real time.</li>
